5-Star and 4-Star Power Forward is Set to Make a Significant Visit to Virginia

The Virginia men’s basketball coaching staff is entering a busy period as the new college basketball season is over two months away. They are approaching the end of the 2025 recruiting cycle and entering the peak of official visit season.

UVA is competing for several top recruits in the class of 2025 and will be hosting five prospects for official visits in the next month. This series of visits kicked off last weekend with four-star point guard Keyshuan Tillery, who shared his experience on Instagram. He posted photos wearing a UVA men’s basketball jersey and with coaching staff members, including Chase Coleman, Ronnie Wideman, Ron Sanchez, Orlando Vandross, and Isaiah Wilkins.

Keyshuan Tillery, a 6’1″ point guard from New Hampton, New Hampshire, has upcoming official visits to Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Ohio State, and Villanova in the coming weeks. He is ranked No. 49 in the ESPN Top 100 for the class of 2025 and No. 71 overall by 247Sports, which also lists him as the No. 10 point guard in the country and the No. 2 recruit from New Hampshire.

Virginia’s other official visitors will arrive in pairs. Chance Mallory, a point guard from Charlottesville, and five-star forward Nate Ament are set to visit on the weekend of September 13th, coinciding with a UVA football game against Maryland. On September 27th, the Cavaliers will welcome JJ Mandaquit, a four-star point guard, and London Jemison, a four-star power forward.

Virginia is also on the cut lists for several four-star recruits: Cam Ward (Washington, D.C.), Derek Dixon (Washington, D.C.), Tre Singleton (Jeffersonville, IN), and Marcus Jackson (Richmond, VA).

Derek Dixon previously visited UVA officially in April and has conducted several unofficial visits; he is expected to announce his decision by the end of the month. No official visits are scheduled yet for Tre Singleton or Cam Ward, although Ward had an unofficial visit over the summer. Marcus Jackson received a late offer and is included on UVA’s cut list, but there are no reports of an official visit scheduled for him at this time.
