Miles Bridges was just re-signed by the Charlotte Hornets to a three-year, $75 million contract, which caught people off guard.
Considering his experience, several people questioned whether it was wise to keep Bridges, but his colleague is thrilled that the deal was reached.
According to NBACentral, Brandon Miller stated in an interview with Michael Scotto that everyone is happy to see Bridges return.
“I believe that having him back was a wonderful thing for us. Off the court, he is adored by all like a brother despite his experience. This year is going to be fantastic, in my opinion,” Miller remarked.
Some were taken aback by Bridges’ re-signing because he had been mired in scandal over the previous few seasons.
Due to accusations of domestic abuse, he missed the full season, which has made many Hornets supporters uncomfortable.
However, Bridges has averaged 21 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game while playing.
Even putting aside his legal issues, Bridges is undoubtedly a gifted player, but the Hornets haven’t won a championship since 2016 and he hasn’t contributed enough to the team.
Bridges’ resignation raises more questions since Charlotte has to make big adjustments and has a lot of issues.
However, Miller stated that Bridges is adored by the squad and treated like a brother by everyone.
That implies that despite the fact that he unnerves some fans, he is enhancing Charlotte’s chemistry and culture.
The Hornets have made a few little adjustments throughout the last season, and they’ll probably make more shortly.
