Oregon has successfully strengthened a key position in its 2025 recruiting class at the expense of Washington. A four-star prospect from Fullerton, California, has switched his commitment from the Huskies to the Ducks as of Sunday. Standing at 6 feet 6 inches and weighing 223 pounds, he is ranked No. 241 overall and No. 12 among tight ends in the 2025 class, per the 247Sports Composite.
He becomes the 16th commitment to Oregon’s 2025 recruiting class, joining a talented group that includes offensive linemen Ziyare Addison, Douglas Utu, and Demetri Manning, as well as running backs Dierre Hill and Jordon Davison, linebacker Nasir Wyatt, wide receivers Dakorien Moore, Dallas Wilson, and Cooper Perry, quarterback Akili Smith Jr., edge rusher Matthew Johnson, safety Trey McNutt, cornerbacks Dorian Brew and Brandon Finney, and kicker Rocco Graziano.
Thanks to this commitment, Oregon’s recruiting class has moved up from No. 10 to No. 9 in the 247Sports Composite rankings, boasting the top average ranking per commitment at 94.61. Meanwhile, Washington’s class has slipped from No. 18 to No. 19.
The newly committed player is Vander Ploog.
