4-star Duke top target cuts her recruitment; confirms “I’m definitely focusing on Duke,”
Highly touted recruit Lara Somfai has narrowed down her college options to three prestigious programs: Stanford Cardinal, Duke Blue Devils, and UConn Huskies. Initially selecting Duke, UConn, Stanford, Virginia Tech, and Tennessee as her final five schools, the 6-foot-4 forward from Australia has decided to focus solely on Duke, UConn, and Stanford as her top three choices.
Citing coaching changes as a significant factor in her decision-making process, Somfai, who currently attends IMG Academy, expressed to 247Sports that she is concentrating on these three schools for now. She mentioned that if her visits to these programs don’t align with her expectations, she may consider expanding her options to include more schools in the future.
Somfai outlined a tentative timeline for her commitment decision, having already visited UConn and planning trips to both Stanford and Duke before finalizing her choice.
