Former CFL player and current TSN analyst Henoc Muamba is participating in the second season of “The Traitors,” a reality show on CTV with a grand prize of $100,000.
The show is inspired by “De Verraders,” a Dutch series that debuted in 2021. It features 22 contestants competing in a Montreal manor, divided into two groups: “Faithful” and “Traitors.”
Throughout the show, contestants are voted out as the “Faithful” aim to eliminate the “Traitors,” while the “Traitors” strive to survive until the finale. If all “Traitors” are voted out by the end, the remaining “Faithful” share the prize. However, if any “Traitor” reaches the finale, they take home the money.
Muamba’s season premiered on Monday, and no contestants were eliminated during the first episode.
The 35-year-old played 135 regular-season games in the CFL for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Montreal Alouettes, and Toronto Argonauts. He recorded 610 defensive tackles, 35 tackles for loss, 78 special teams tackles, 18 pass knockdowns, 14 forced fumbles, 17 sacks, seven interceptions, and three fumble recoveries.
Originally from Kinshasa, Zaire, and raised mainly in Mississauga, Ontario, Muamba is a two-time CFL All-Star, a three-time East Division All-Star, and was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Canadian. He also won the Grey Cup in 2022, earning both the game’s Most Valuable Player and Most Valuable Canadian honors.
