Four standout players from the ANZ Marama Cup have been chosen to represent Fiji in the Vodafone Fijiana XV team:
– Alisi Galo – Suva Womens
– Alfreda Fisher – Suva Womens
– Adi Salaseini Railumu – Suva Womens
– Ivamere Nabura – Suva Womens
This selection highlights the effectiveness of local competitions like the ANZ Marama Cup in fostering talent in women’s rugby.
With support from ANZ Bank of Fiji, these grassroots initiatives are crucial for developing future rugby stars.
Fiji Rugby High Performance Women’s Program Coach Mike Legge expressed pride in the selection, noting that it signifies the dedication and perseverance of these players. “This is a significant moment for the HPU Women’s Program, as we now have 12 players from our High-Performance group in the squad. Their selection illustrates the viable pathway for local talent, especially from the ANZ Marama Cup.”
Coach Mike also thanked Coach Mosese Rauluni for his faith in these players and assured continued support and preparation for national duties.
